The location was magnificent and wonderful for Matera, really close to numerous restaurants and bars, Sassi and main shopping streets and fruit and fish markets, and fruit and fish markets.

came here for 1 night stay, had a very very good experience. the room was reasonably spacious and since it had feather pillows and hypo-allergenic pillows i slept like a baby. the staff was helpful and amazingly attentive, so i would definitely come back.

Overall, we had a great experience staying at Palazzo Della Fontana in Matera. the newly remodeled venue is in an excellent location, very close to main shopping streets, Piazza Vittorio Veneto, and fruit and fish markets. We truly enjoyed our stay and loved having breakfast served on the terrace. the twin/double room was reasonably spacious and had a large shower, making our stay even more comfortable.
